Such incidents present a potent threat to innocent, clueless residents. The police say that they are alert and fully prepared to take these miscreants down, should such an incident ever be reported again. In themeantime, police has requested the people to stay on alert, use their discretion and inform the police the moment they feel suspicious about a visitor, again.
The cops have also issued guidelines asking the residents to thoroughly check the identity of any sales rep knocking up their door. The residents have been asked not to entertain anyone who is unable to confidently prove his identity, and also to use their instincts and intuition.
